I was just wondering if it is okay if I ask you a question or two here. I am a 18 year old boy from Norway, and I am soon to join the military (very excited). Im trying out for navy special forces, so I am currently in training, mainly swimming and running. My VO2 max is currently right around 60, and I feel that I am in very good physical form. The only thing that worries me is my max pulse. I recently measured it during a running session, and the number was 216. I know the most common methods to calculate your max pulse (220-your age for ex), and I m not quite sure whether a high max pulse is good or bad for me... I can push myself very hard, and also feel like I can run a long time with this high pulse without getting exhausted. I would really appreciate an answer from someone who knows maybe a bit more than I do. Thank you, Sincerely
