Hello,
Breast cancer diagnoses by biopsy only. Your surgeon did that? Based on the stage of the tumor, and grade treatment varies. Stage depends on the size and presence of lymph nodes. If size is small, you can go for lumpectomy and axillary Lymph nodes dissection. Ask your surgeon whether intraoperative frozen is available in the hospital or not. If it is where you can go for a lumpectomy. What about ER, PR and HER2NEU status. Based on these status treatments also varies. Ask for this status in the initial biopsy report.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Siddartha
