Is A Missed Period With Stomach Enlargement Due To A Pregnancy?

I think I might be 14 weeks pregnant eventhough I took the day after pill within 24 hours and had bleeding around 10 days after taking it. I also had bleeding last month... But I still dont have my period and I swear that I see my belly getting bigger... HELP!!

Hi there, I have understood your concern. I will suggest you the best possible treatgment options.

First of all do not panic.

As you have already taken emergency contraceptive pill and also had bleeding episode, you need to confirm your doubt about pregnancy.

Your bleeding can be due to withdrawal effect of high dose of hormone progesterone in the emergency contraceptive pill.

As such you have to get morning's first sample of urine tested for pregnancy. In case of doubt blood beta HCG test and USG will be of help.

At 14 weeks of pregnancy, belly will not show much distension.

Lastly, even if you are pregnant, you can opt for termination of the pregnancy with medicines safely till 9 weeks of pregnancy under medical supervision.
