Is A Persistent Headache Related To The Medical Abortion That I Had A Month Back When I Still Have Bleeding?
I had a medical abortion 35 days ago and I get daily headaches that last all day and night. Are these connected to the abortion? I am also still bleeding, heavier than just spotting, but had a very heavy, painful period with lots of clots 26 days after the abortion. Why am I getting these headaches and still bleeding? These headaches are interfering with my daily life and ability to function normally.
Headache commonly occurs due to dehydration, take adequate amount of water and fluids. Sometimes, low blood pressure and hypoglycemia can also trigger headache. Make sure your vitals are normal. Take food in time so that your blood glucose level is normal. Take adequate rest and quality sleep at night. Lack of sleep triggers headache. Make sure your blood pressure is normal.
After abortion you may have heavy bleeding with clots for a few days and spotting for several weeks. You are having abdominal pain with heavy bleeding since abortion you are advised to get clinically examined by a gynecologist to detect any perforation, polyp, fibroid or fetal or placental remains that are not yet cleared out or any other pathology that is causing bleeding. You will be accordingly managed and treated.
