Hi, my husband and I are renovating our bedrooms upstairs and are sleeping on the first level until the rooms are finished. He sanded the hardwood floors and polyurethane them last night. I am 38 weeks pregnant and am concerned if I am putting our baby at risk. I don t notice fumes roaming through the air on the first level, but when I have to use the bathroom, which is upstairs, the fumes are so strong. Should I vacate my home for a couple days? Am I putting our baby at risk by staying here?
Any/all fumes are of risk to a pregnant woman and her fetus so I would recommend discontinuing exposure to the fumes as you have a maximum of 2 weeks left and should deliver anytime before that, so it wont be too long now.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
