Is A Scan Required After Taking Fertomid 50?

Hi, Iam a 30 year old lady. After 5 years of my marriage am not getting pregnent. Today my doctor suggested to have Fertomid-50 tablets 2nos for 5 days.(from 3rd to 7th of period). Today is my 3rd day of cycle, and Iam having a normal period (28 to 29 days). My doctor told me to come for a scan on 20th June.(today is 12th June). After taking this medicine, is this scan is recomented?

You have not given me some necessary information.
Did you and your husband have the necessary investigations ( hormone test and Fallopian tube patency test for you and semen analysis for the husband). What is the cause for not being able to get pregnant.
Fertomid is useful if there is problem with ovulation. As this is your first month of taking this tablet Yes you need to go for the ultrasound examination to find out whether the egg is growing as per expectation.

Your doctor may ask you to come for a second ultrasound examination around 14th day to confirm that ovulation has occurred .
