Is A Sinus Rinse Effective In The Treatment Of Nasal Blockage?

I have finished a course of augmentine today but my nose is still blocked with yellow lumpy mucus coming out if I blow nose. Today I saw Dr again as I had a shock of totally losing a sense smell. I can smell no smoke no garlick no fish shop let alone subtlely smelling things and food. My Dr gave me Klacid now. I also bought a sinus rinse pack from a pharmacy. Am i on the right track? Any warning? I want to have my being able to smell nose back desperately by ridding blockage, mucus, phlem and whatnot.

It looks like you are suffering from sinusitis. For how long you had used Augmentin? Yes, Klacid is a good drug for treating sinusitis. To thin your nasal secretion, you need to take a lot of water or fluids. And yes of course you can use this rinse, it is effective and safe in clearing the nose. In fact you can even blush the nose. If this medication is also not effective, then your ENT doctor may also think of antral lavage.
