Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi , I have a small indent in my scrotum about 2/3 of the way down from base of shaft it is right between both testicles. I am in my 50’s and never noticed it until after my wife shaved the area. Is this normal or something I should be concerned about? There is no pain or sensitivity or swelling or discoloration.
You have a small indent in your scrotum. It can be due to natural anatomy of the scrotum, where the skin and underlying structures create a natural separation. However, sometimes such indentation can be formed due to underlying medical conditions like hydrocele, varicocele or epididymitis. The mentioned medical conditions will be associated with symptoms like discomfort, swelling, pain & inflammation. If there are symptoms, get clinically examined by a urologist to detect if it's an indent due to natural anatomy or due to an underlying medical condition.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
