Is A Steadily Rising BP Linked To Reactive Airway Disease?

My blood pressure has been steadily rising...now it has registered 160/108. My doctor did an EKG and mentioned it read mostly normal with a slight showing consistent with pulmonary disease. However, I have reactive airway and he isn t concerned about it. Should I be? He has started me on blood pressure meds. I m a 42 year old female.
