Is Abdominal Pain A Side Effect Of Crocin Advance Pill?
Had taken 2 crocin advance tablets within three and a half hours to curb menstrual pain.after taking the second tablet begun to experience mild burning on right side of abdomen.the discomfort persists along with mild pangs of pain occuring, could it be a side effect?
Hi & Welcome. Crocin Advance pill contains Paracetamol (500 mg) and the recommended dose for adults is about 1-2 caplets every 4-6 hours. Minimum dosing interval should be 4 hours. Maximum dose in 24 hours should not to exceed 4g/day in equally divided doses. Since you have taken two caplets within 3 and a half hours it is within the therapeutic dose and hence unlikely to cause right sided abdominal pain. Doses more than 7 gm/day can cause injury to the liver. Pain abdomen could be due to acidity related stomach issue which can be overcome by using an antacid or a proton pump inhibitor.
