Is Accidental Intake Of Double Dosage Of Dulera A Concern?

I am asthma patient and am prescribed to take Dulera (200mcg/5) twice a day 2 puffs. I accidentally took 3 puffs of it (this occurred 15 hrs after my morning two inhalations) Is this dangerous or an overdose? What should I do? I feels as if my heart is a little more racing and some uneasiness.

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Don't worry nothing will happen. Please check your blood pressure. Overdosage may lead to elevation of blood pressure and chance to develop oral infections.

If you have uncontrolled symptoms like a headache, breathlessness or palpitations or chest pain then consult your physician immediately.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu,
