Is Advent Drop 91.4 Mg, Alex-P+ And Otrivin Mini Nasal Drops Safe For 2 Months Old?

Dear doctor, my son is two month old. He has cough for the last night . His pediatrician prescribed Asthakind-P syrup, Advent drop 91.4 mg, Alex-P+ and Otrivin Mini nasal drops . Here I want suggesations that is it safe to give this much of medician to a 55 days old baby, if not please suggest what to do. Please please answer me, I wll be very thankful to you. Regards Gautam

The medicines given by your pediatrician are generally safe. However it is better not to continue otrivin mini nasal drops for more than 5 days. It may contain nasal constrictor medicine which may damage the nasal mucosa when used for long period; further it can also increase the blood pressure and may cause palpitation.
