I always was hypo-tensive(low)..Mu BP was eventually raising just sometimes, in a doctor s office as a white coat syndrome . But in the last 15 years, when I also hit the menopause, as my level of anxiety raised, some doctors started scaring me, that my BP is to is high, even if was dropping quickly to normal. And than started my biggest nightmare ( fear, anxiety phobia.) I cannot even see a tensiometer and that my BP jumps very high. As my anxiety ( became generalized) is with me most of the time , my BP start to be higher also for logger periods of time. I was checked many, many times by doctors when I managed to be very relaxed and my BP was and is very normal: around 120-125/ 65-70!!!!!! But I was prescribed just in case for spike BP. some BP medications once a day in the morning : Bisoprol 5 mg ( beta -blocker) ; Amlodipine 5 mg and Losartan /hcl 50/12.5 ... But when my fear ( anxiety) is out of control ( subconsciously) my BP still goes over 170....and is scare me that I cannot have any type of control over nigher anxiety attacks nor BP. I was advised to take in the moments of crises ( not with the other other BP meds), a Clonidine Hch 0.1mg tablet. Looks that from everything I ve tried so far, is the only one which works and dopes my BP. I forgot to mention that I was prescribed during the last 14 years every possible antidepressants and anxiolitics under the sun with NO RESULTS, other then.... benzodiasepine addiction , which I am in the process of withdrawal ( Ashton Method) ..I hate them! No doctor ever told me that I shouldn t take them more than a couple of weeks... And I took them ( Xanax and Clonazepam) UDER THE DOCTOR S RECOMADATION for years! !!! So my question to you sir is: is it OK to take the Clonidine 0.1 mg tablet with my cocktail of the other BP meds I ve mention above ( Not together! )??? .. Your advise would be greatly appreciated, bescause nothig else worked fot me Cristine Rau
