Hello,

It's not safe to consume alcohol while taking most of her prescribed medications. Alcohol may cause harmful interactions if taken along with:

1. Lyrica and Lexapro: It may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, and difficulty concentrating. It may also cause impairment in thinking, judgment, and motor coordination which may result in falls and injuries.

2. Wellbutrin: It may increase the risk of uncommon side effects such as seizures, hallucinations, delusions, paranoia, mood and behavioral changes, depression, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, and panic attacks. On the other hand, sudden withdrawal from alcohol following regular or chronic use can also increase your risk of seizures during treatment with Wellbutrin.

3. Ibuprofen can cause gastritis and increase the risk of stomach bleeding. In my opinion, she should avoid or limit the use of alcohol while being treated with the above-mentioned medications.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
