Is Alkaline Phosphate Level Of 183 U/l Normal During Pregnancy?

Hello Doctor, My wife is 36 weeks pregnant and her alkaline phosphate came out 183 U/L. She has rashes on her stomach with intense itching at times. Doctor has suggested Udiliv 300 twice a day. Kindly advice whether the alkaline phosphate level is normal under her circumstance? Thanks and regards.

See, raised alk. phosphate levels and itching suggest that she is suffering from obstetric cholestasis, a kind of disorder in pregnancy which leads to derranged liver enzymes. Also give her some anti allergic to reduce itching. She should be very vigilant for her fetal movement count and regular follow up with doctor to prevent any complicatuons.
