Hello,
Avomine is a category C medication and it can be used when benefits outweigh risks since animal studies have shown no hazard and human studies are insufficient. However, it can interfere with urine pregnancy tests giving false positive or negative tests and this should be remembered. Rantac is a category B medication and is used when benefits outweigh risks. In fact, no drug is absolutely safe in pregnancy, but, several have been used as the situation demands without any ill effects. So, it is wise to take as less medication as possible. Hope this helps.
