My husband has Alopecia Universalis and no other person on either side of his family has it. He has had it since he was a baby. It would come in and fall out all through childhood. When he turned about 12 it came in and did not fall out until he was 27. He is now 33, about to be 34, and he is getting some hair on his face and head. My family doesn't have it or any male pattern baldness. If we had a child, what would be the chances of our child having Alopecia?
