Is Anti-rabies Shot For Dogs Dangerous For Humans?

In preparing to give our dog his rabies shot, I pricked my thumb with the needle. The good news is that it was before I gave the injection. So, the needle should have been sterile. My concern is over the vaccine that was definitely on the tip of the needle. I had squeezed out a drop to remove air from syringe. The prick was slight but did draw blood. Is the vaccine itself dangerous to humans? Should I see a doctor? SC in LA

Hello,
There have been plenty of cases of accidental human inoculation of during administration of animal rabies vacfine but there have been no case of any problem or rabies to human beings till date.
Just relax as nothing is going to happen to you by just a small prick.
Thanks
