Is Atrial Fibrillation Due To Colonoscopy Or Naturally, Different?
yes, thank you......i had a a-fib occur about 8 yrs ago during a colonoscopy. and since been on solotol 80 mg 2x day. recently had a ekg that say i don t have a-fib now. could that have been a unlikely occurence when the colonoscopy was performed ? or is it once you had a-fib then you always have it. i mean is there a difference between a a-fib that occurs during a procedure/colonoscopy than one that occurs during a regular day in the life ? thanks again ,jack
I passed carefully through your question and would explain that there is no difference between these types of atrial fibrillation. Of course, colonoscopy imposes high stress to the body, which leads to an increased risk for atrial fibrillation in susceptible patients.
Episodes of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation may persist and become chronic atrial fibrillation if not treated.
Hope I have answered your query.
