Is Azelastine Hydrocloride Nasal Solution A Steroid Or An Antihistamine?
I am looking at the enclosure statement that came with my prescription and it CLEARLY names the drug as Azelastine Hydrocloride Nasal solution. How can it be that a major info site such as Drugs.com does not recognize this drug. I want to know if it is a steroid or an antihistimine?
I'm sorry you haven't found more details or info about this drug. Azelastine is an antihistamine drug. It's a potent second generation of antihistamines and it is usually prescribed to treat rhinitis, and allergic conditions of upper respiratory tract.
Azelastine has sedative side effects that may cause you somnolence, so be careful while driving when you take that.
I wish you a good health! Best regards! DR ERIOL.
