Is Back Pain, cramping And Constipation Sign Of Pregnancy?
ovulated some time between january 2 and january 12. had unprotected sex 3 times and missed my birth control twice during that time. had some preganacy symptoms and took a test which came out negative. now my period isn't due until thursday but it came on tuesday. today i am having lots of back pain, dull cramps, and pounding headaches. also when i go too the bathroom to make a bowel movement it feels like alot of pressure in my vagina, kinda like i'm pushing something out. i'm thinking maybe i got pregnant and it wasn't strong enough too stop this period. but could it be implentation bleeding? also i have been constipated twice in the last week. it's very painful and hard too make a bowel movement now.
Hi there, After having gone through your question, I am of the opinion that 1) Since you got your periods, there is very less chance of getting pregnant. 2) Implantation bleeding does not cause severe cramps and back pain. 3) The pressure is mostly due to hard stools and constipation. 4) My suggestion is that you add a lot of fibre and water to your diet for proper bowel movement. Eat bulky fruits and you can also take a laxative like cremaffin. 5) If you are still doubtful about your pregnancy, you can repeat the urine pregnancy test after a week or can also go for blood test or ultrasound. 6) If you are on birth control pills, you should not skip your pills because skipping increases the failure rate. if you do miss a pill, take 2 pills the next day.
I hope this was helpful. Regards, Dr. Shikha Shah
