Is Bathing In Dettol Water Recommended For A 4 Year Old?

My daughter (4 yrs) gets eye infection frequently after she started going to school. The eye infection stopped when i started bathing her in water (adding 1/2 cap dettol to 1 bucket water) every day. Is it safe to bathe her with dettol water. I am worried as the dettol water may enter her eyes. Now i stopped bathing her with dettol and now her eye is infected again. Please advise.

Pediatrician 's  Response
oDettol is a disinfectant and it is good to use.It is mentioned on the bottle about the dilution to be done for each specific use. If you use it that way, then I don't think it will be harmful. Also as the child has recurrent eye infection you should seek an ophthalmologist opinion because it is not necessary that the infection is always due to bacteria or micro organisms. Sometimes dust, dry weather may cause allergic conjunctivitis and it may be recurrent.
