Is Bleeding From Deep Cut Normal 4 Days After Injury?
I have a deep cut (10 stitches) on my right palm. Cut occurred on Wed. This is now Sat. Emergency room put neosporin on it and said to keep it covered. Hubby is saying that now that a few days has passed, I need to let it air out. I am changing the dressing every day and continuing to put the ointment on it. When I change it also, there is usually a drop or two of blood - not much. Friends are saying that is not normal as it has been 4 days now. Is that correct? Should I let it air dry now? Thanks, Valerie
Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you got a deep cut on your palm. After 4 days it is having small amount of blood a drop or two is coming every time you dress. You are worried about it. You need not to worry about it, it is normal. Furthermore you can leave it open to air dry it. Healing will be faster if it is left open. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful.
