Yes it can occur a little bleeding after colonoscopy , due to the scratching of the intestine walls from the scope or due to removal of abnormal looking tissue (while taking
biopsy), or due to polyps removal.
If the bleeding will go on, and the quantity will increase, then you should see a gastroenterologist. If you experience: severe
abdominal pain, fever, bloody bowel movements,
dizziness and weakness, again you should see a gastroenterologist. Otherwise there is nothing to be worried.
Avoid drinking alcohol. Avoid taking
aspirin.
Avoid hard activities for at least 24 hours.
