Is Blister Inside Lower Lip Caused By Damage Of Tissue After Doing Endoscopy?
Had an endoscopy on Wednesday. Since then there s what looks like a large blister inside my lower lip. But when I move my lip to eat or drink, it feels like there s a string inside pulling from the inside. Is that just damage to the tissue in the lip from manipulation of the scope? What can I do to make it go away quicker or heal?
You have undergone endoscopy and developed traumatic ulcer on lower lip. Lip is very sensitive structure hence even movement cause pain also eating and drinking is painful.
You can use various oral gels available like Zytee, or even local anaesthetic gel of benzocaine before eating to relive pain.
You can also take simple analgesic like paracetamol to relive pain. It should heal in few days. Please do not worry.
You can also take B complex tablets. Usually these ulcer heals in 2-3 days.
Hope this helps. Take care. Dr.Akhilesh Dubey M.D
