Is Blood Discharge While Having UTI Normal?

I have had a urine infection for the past few days. A three day course of antibiotics did not clear it. Went back to the GP today who has given me a furher week long course of nitrofurantoin. However I now have blood stained discharge, is this normal, should i go back to my GP?

Hello,

Blood in urine associated with urinary tract infection is abnormal. The possibility of infection in the bladder, kidney and urinary tract and kidney stone was the common cause for blood in urine.

Kindly do the investigation further like urine routine, ultrasound abdomen to fix the issue.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Senthilnathan Subramanian
