Is Blood Spotting Normal In 87 Yrs Old Woman Who Has Had Hysterectomy?

Hello, I just visited my 87 year old Mother who lives in a Residence, and I noticed some blood spotting in her underwear and her nightgown. I do her laundry for her and haven t noticed this before. When I asked her about this she said it happened a few days ago but not since and that there is no pain associated with it. I know she had a hysterectomy many years ago but am not sure as to what type. I m concerned and wonder what i should do next for her? Thank you. Susan

Hello Susan.

This has also happend to my grand mother most recently, but in most cases there is nothing to worry about. Although I did order an ultrasound examination for my grandmother just to confirm her well-being and all was well. You could do the same.

Hope this helps.

Take care.
