Is Breast Cancer Metastasis To Thyroid Common?
In 2008 I had dbl mastectomy for invassive ductal BC. Sentinal node + 4 other lymphs on lft side. 2010 Invassive ductal returned to lft side mastectomy scarline (doc told me was rare). chemo and rads done. i am scheduled for a biopsy tomorrow for 3 nodes in thyroid and 1 enlarged lymph node. doc says that bc mets to thyroid is possible but not common. I have tried to locate info but not finding much recent info, im finding stuff from 2004-2008. medical changes rapidly and 04-08 is out dated. thank you for your time

Hello dear. It is very unlikely that a breast tumor metastasize to thyroid. So it may a second primary lesion. Final diagnosis will be by biopsy. Take care
