I am thought to have laryngitis but I have now started coughing up yellow mucus so I am thinking may be bronchitis. I have a very tight throat, that feels like I have a constant lump in it. It is painful to swallow talk and breathe. When I breathe it feels very tight almost ticklish to the point where if I take a deep breath I have fits of coughing. And now I have paint under/ near my sternum, it s persistent but feels a lot worse when I cough.
Hi. Thanks for your query. All your symptoms of yellow expectoration, pain in the throat, chest, feeling of lump, painful swallowing and talking all suggest that you have severe respiratory tract infection.
I would suggest you the following in such a situation. - Consult an ENT surgeon for clinical evaluation, investigations of blood, phlegm, X-ray chest and get started on proper antibiotics, anti-inflammatory and supportive medicines. -Take steam inhalations, Best rest Rest of the treatment as per reports. Voice rest. Warm liquid diet. Plenty of oral fluids.
This should help you.
