Is Brown And Red Discoloration Around The Vagina After Application Of Mupirocin A Matter Of Concern?
My daughter tested postive for MRSA 2 days ago (unsure how she contracted this) and the dermatologist prescribed oral antibiotics (clindamycin) as well as daily bleach baths until bumps are gone. We noticed she was itching in her private area on the 2 day of antibiotics + bleach baths, we saw what looked like a swollen/inflammed bump on her labia major. I put antibiotic (mupirocin) and overnight inflammation had reduced in size but left a dark brownish/purple/reddish mark (like a bruise healing). Is this a cause for concern or antibiotics working?

Pigmentation after ointment application is not a worry thing .
Some inflamed bumps also leave pigment patch.
Do not worry, these will dissolve by itself .
