Is Brown Colored Phelgm With Grey Chunks While Coughing Normal After Being On Treatment Of Mononucleosis?
I'm 31, male with Mono and I'm at the end of week two; the inflammation in my throat has lessened significantly, today was the first day I've been able to eat since Tuesday last week. I was originally prescribed percocet 512 for the pain but have been off that since Monday.... Anyhow my question is about the mucus/phlem and sinus drainage coloration. I have a brownish colored phlem I keep coughing up and sometimes is grey in color and chunky. My sinus drainage is the same brown in color. Is this normal and how long will it last?

I really appreciate your concern, this is normal and happens during the resolution phase, you can take any good cough expectorant, with mucolytic agent, these is freely available on counter, and nothing to worry about this, this will come around in couple of weeks, have nice day.
