Is Brown, Green Stool With Black Specks A Serious Concern?
hi, for the past few days i’ve gone to the restroom, my stools haven’t been the same. it takes a different shade of brown, like brown green and i have black specks in the stool itself and after i wipe. i have no stomach pains or any pain at all for that matter.
1) Normal stool color is yellowish brown. 2) Green brown stool suggest inadequate digestion of food. 3) This is not serious concern since there is no any associated pain episodes. 4) if green brown stool associated with stomach cramps or diarrhea or vomiting, then you need to visit GP to run some basic tests including stool examination to rule out intestine infection or food poisoning.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Happykumar Kagathara, Gastrointestinal Surgeon
