Is Brown Vaginal Discharge Along With Abdominal Cramps A Matter Of Concern?

I am a 21 year old female who had her usual period on the 21st-25th of July. Starting yesterday, the 2nd of August, I noticed brown discharge every time I see/wipe. Sometimes it s a little more red then brown. Yesterday evening, I noticed I had mild cramps but attributed it to there being dairy in my dinner, as I am lactose intolerant. Should I be worried about the discharge?

Hi,

The brown discharge should be evaluated further as it is not seen normally.

You can investigate with pelvic ultrasonography for primary work up. Your pelvic examination including per speculum examination also should be done. I suggest you consult gynaecologist for that.

Your cramps are due to lactose intolerance.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
