Is Brownish Discharge With Back Pain During 33rd Week Of Pregnancy Normal?

i am 33 weeks pregnant had lots of back pain this week. i was seen in the labor and delivery floor yesterday they checked me and the baby even did a cathater to make sure i didnt have a uti... no ive been having some brownish discharge is this normal?

Hello,
It is not normal to have brownish discharge at this stage of pregnancy. If urinary tract infections have been ruled out, a speculum examination may also be needed to exclude vaginal infections and erosions. That much done, and excluded, it remains to be seen if there is any intra-uterine discharge and if there is any separation of the membranes that could lead to preterm labor. Please take rest and maintain proper genital hygiene. Take adequate liquids, avoid stress and intercourse. Hope this helps.
