Is Bump On Top Of Kneecap Hereditary?

I have a pea sized bump in my knee on top of my knee cap. I have been in bike accidents and ive played soccer for 9 years. It doesnt hurt but it is moveable and it feels like a little stone like thing in my knee. My knees always hurt if i run too much and my feet always cramp up. Both knees pop and crack and i usually use ace wraps on my knees. I am 15 and my mom has bad knees aswell. Could it be hereditary? Or is it something else

do not worry, your mothers problem and yours are different, if the pea sized bump is bothering you or is painfull, then get it surgically excised, otherwise these are normal things.
