Is Carotid Artery Stenting Safe For Rheumatoid Arthritis?

I have rheumatoid arthritis am on Humera and methotrexate. I have a 90% blockage in on e of my carotid arteries. Being given the option of carotid endarterectomy using a patch or carotid artery stenting, given my propensity to infection which is the safer option?
