at 76 yrs old i need cataracts removed but family dr. won t sign off (pre-op?) since my blood pressure is 160-180/85. 160/180 (part of it is being in the drs. office)! on for 2mos. blood pressure pills (a water pill & CLONIDINE) i know people with major heart etc.etc etc problems getting it done & basically this is my only problem! grand rapids mi loc -isn t there hospitals i can go under their supervision & get it done? is it better that i drive with a lot less vision than have the operation. exercising-not drinking-never smoked-& a lot of times outside the drs. office my blood pressure is 140/85.
PRESENTLY THE BLOOD PRESSURE YOU HAVE MENTIONED SHOULD NOT BE CONTRADICTION FOR SURGERY.PREOPERATIVE CHECKUP WILL BE DONE BY THEM. WHAT PRESSURE YOU HAVE GIVE IS NORMAL FOR YOU.
