Is Chalky Vaginal Discharge A Symptom Of An Infection?
I thought that I am infected with yeast infection and consulted a GP. She also said it appeared as candidiasis. A swab was taken and meanwhile I was prescribed canesten clotrimazole 500mg once pessary. I took it for two nights. And on the third day my lab report stated that I am not infected. Now on the fourth day morning i.e. today, I saw bulky chalky discharge. I washed it with water. And still after 3-4 hours, I am experiencing the same chalky discharge. What is it? Is it normal after taking pessary? Or is a sign of infection?
It is good to know that your lab report shows that you are not infected. Vaginal discharge can be due to ovulation or inflammation of the vaginal mucosa, mild side effects from pessary, cervical erosion due to dryness or harsh intercourse, PID, stress and tensions. Take food rich in calcium & protein. Take vitamin & mineral supplements. Maintain hygienic toilet habits. Get a general health check up done along with your sexual partner.
