Is Checkup Necessary For Baby Being Hit By Shower Rod?

I was holding my 7 day old baby and was getting bathtub ready for a bath when the shower rod fell down and hit him on the head,,,he has a mark on his head,,he just cried and seems ok to me,,alert, eating and the same,,,,except my husband is really concerned about swelling on the brain,,, wondering if I should take him in to emergency or wait,,,,

Hi..i would like to suggest that keep watch on the baby. If anytime you find him excessively irritable or lethargic, vomiting or if this incident was followed by loss of consciousness, then baby needs investigation to look for bleed. As of now you can watch the progression of the swelling and baby's symptoms as mentioned above.
