Is Chest Pain Common With A Stent Placement ?

I m a 54 year old woman, I ve had 5 bypasses and 9 stints....my chest has been hurting me so bad for the past few days, but today it s worse...it s hard for me to walk across the room without having to sit down because of the pain, I ve taken my nitro and it eases for a short time but comes back....should I be concerned or am I m over reacting

Regarding your complains I would recommend you to consult immediately your cardiologist as facing your past cardiac problems and performed procedures, as well as your chest pain nature, there is a very high probability of an imminent heart attack (unstable ungina or myocardial infarction). Fast ECG and cardiac enzymes (lab blood tests) will confirm or rule our this raising suspicion. So you have to run to the nearest ER and have the medical check up immediately, as it may be a very dangerous situation.
