Is Chronic Depression And Insomnia Sign Of Parkinson?

How to help boyfriend, father has Parkinsons?

Patient is 50 years old. Just diagnosed, is being treated with dopamine (I do not know details). He has suffered in the past from cronic depression and insomnia. Has a family history of problems involving the production of dopamine. I know the advance of Parkinsons can be different in each person, but it always leads to death? Is it possible this can be something other than parkinsons disease?
