Infectious Diseases Specialist 's  Response
Hello,
Welcome to HCM,

For ruptured ear drum no specific treatment is needed in the vast majority of cases. Usually the ruptured eardrums heals within three months.

To prevent the ear infection or treat an existing infection, topical Ciprodex (ciprofloxacin/dexamethasone) can be used and it is is better than oral antibiotics.
In addition to this I would suggest you to follow

Protecting the ear from cold air
Avoiding blowing your nose while the ear heals
Warmth to relieve discomfort
Oral NSAIDs
Patch over the eardrum.
These measures helps to recover fast along with the topical Ciprodex.
Thank you.
