Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
had gastric bypass surgery in 2010 , due to intussusception, I lost enormous amounts weight, taking me below 100 down to 92 pounds . I had to have a revision and I am now on a feeding tube. When I am able to eat through my mouth, sometimes the food will go count counter clockwise to the old stomach and clog my feeding tube … Is this normal ?
It may not be the case as you are thinking it must be blockage of tube and it has to be taken great care if you do have some difficulty then you can inform the nursing care person for that, but it is not the action that you are thinking about, of course, you must be having some feeling while eating with the feeding tube in such a feeling would be likely, but difficulty say whether it is normal or abnormal unless examining clinically or put the case on investigation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Husain
