Is Combination Of Vertin, Metxl, Ecosprin, Prorub, Primerich Safe?
my father is 64 yrs b.p and daibetic patient wt 60 kg .last week he was admitted to hospital for high bp of 200/100.now he is okay with blood pressure 130/80. he was prescribed 1. vertin16 2. met xl am 3. ecosprin av75 4. prorub d 4 5. primerich 6. glycomet 250 7. glynase MF Is this combination correct or does he need to change his medication? He is facing severe gas problem. His previous medicines were 1.Amlog 2.Vertigon 3.Ecosprin 4.Cobadex 5.Glycomet 6.Glynase 7.Metrogel He has never suffered any attack or was never hospitalised previously.
Depending on your history, the prescription seems to be okay. However, the dosage of anti-diabetic (Glynase-MF and Glycomet) as well as of anti-hypertensive (Met XL AM) will have to be adjusted according to the response. These dosage may have to be increased or decreased as per need. Similarly, dose of Vertin may be reduced and even completely stopped according to the symptoms of vertigo etc.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Satnarain Bansal, General & Family Physician
