Transabdominal sonography: The urinary bladder is unremarkable with a volume of 480 cc. The uterus measures 8.7 x 5.4 x 3.1 cm and is anteverted. The endometrial stripe measures 4 mm. The ovaries are not visualized. Transvaginal sonography: The uterus measures 7.2 x 5.1 x 4.3 cm and is retroverted. Complex fluid is noted within the endometrial and endocervical canal. No free fluid was noted in the cul-de-sac.
