Hello,

You are sexually active and had your periods 2 weeks ago. You had been drinking heavily. You are afraid you are having a miscarriage. Presently, you are bleeding. If you had been having unprotected sexual intercourse and were not on contraceptive pills neither on emergency CP. You may be showing signs of miscarriage since you have been bleeding since 2 weeks.

Other signs of miscarriage are pain or cramping in your abdomen or lower back. Fluid or tissue passing from your vagina. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a gynecologist, get per vaginal examination done. Get all required tests and investigations done.

Other cause of continuous bleeding are hormonal problems, thyroid dysfunction, polyp, fibroid, PID, cervical problems, endometriosis. You will be accordingly treated and managed. Stay away from addictions if any. Avoid stress and stay at rest, do not skip meals. Stay well hydrated.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
