Is Continuing Zoloft After Taking A Break For 7 Days Safe?
Hello. I stopped taking 150 mg of Zoloft (plus 5 mg of Valium at night for sleep) due to needing 5 mg of Flexeril 2x a day due to muscle spasm in left shoulder with tingling in left arm and hand. It has been 7 days and for the past three nights I have had violent nightmares and disturbed sleep. I want to stop the Flexeril and go back to taking Zoloft plus the Valium. I still have some tigling off and on in my left arm and hand. I am also taking 24-hour Naprelan and will switch to Tylenol as needed. I had a cervical x-ray on Friday and am waiting for the results today. Is it okay to go back to my usual dose of 150 mg of Zoloft plus the 5mg of Valium after not taking them for 7 days? Thank you.

First of all I would like to know that wether all these medicines are perscribed by a doctor?or you yourself take without suggestion of any doctor?
As zoloft is antidepressant and valium is for relaxation both medicines needs to be taken according doctor's advice as these can cause other mental problems too if dosage is not taken properly. If these two medicines were taken with doctor;s advice for your particular symtoms then these can be continued but after discussing with your psycologist.
For muscle spasm and tingling sensation amy opinion would be get an MRI cervical spine and blood level of vitamin B12 done and discuss with neurosurgeon.
