Is Coughing Up A Small Hard Lump With Blood During 23rd Week Of Pregnancy Concerning?

hi my girlfriend is 23 weeks pregnant and last night she coughed up a small hard lump with blood but she feels fine and didnt even realise it was blood until this morning we have been told to go to a walk in centre , we went and they said they was only doing appointments is it something we should worry about?

Hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opnion during forceful coughing throat might get injured leading to coughing upof blood admixed with mucus.
Nothing to worry about that.Take cough suppressants as advised by your doctor and if the sputum is altered colour other than white then it might be associated with infection then you might need antiboitics.So get a check up done and proceed accordingly.
