Is Coughing Up Bloody Sputum With Pain An Emergency Situation?
I have Ehler-Danlos Syndrome (Diagnoses 4/2013) I awoke with a partially collapsed lung two weeks ago on my left side. Today I have been coughing up some bloody tinged sputum with A LOT of pain on the RIGHT side I can go to the doctor tomorrow am. My temp has not gone above 101 except briefly above 102; Would it be helpful to go to ER or walk in clinic or just wait til tomorrow am? I am 40, quit smoking in 1996.I originally quit in 92, began again in in 97 & quite in late 96, I have not smoked since.

hello......you might be having haemoptysis due to lung problem(bronchogenic ca) or you might be going into pulmonary edema. plz take your health seriously and seek a pulmonologist and cardiologist opinion soon.better get a CT thorax and bronchoscopy done. hope everything turns out well for you.
