Is Dark Flecks In My Stool Due To Liver Disease Or Issues With The Kidneys Or In The Intestinal Area/GI?
I have dark flecks on loo paper when wiping last few days. I don t mean dark spots, they are like raised dark fragments. Is this due to liver disease, kidneys or intestinal area/GI? I suffer from haemorroids but the blood is not that light last few days. It is darker, not very dark
Dark flecks in the stool can be due to factors like undigested food, too much fiber, junk food consumption, due to certain medications, etc. It may be indicative of liver dysfunction, IBS, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, giardiasis, etc. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP, get Stool Examination (R/E and C/S) done.
Get all required blood tests and investigations done so that the pathology can be detected, and treatment started at the earliest. In the meantime, you are suggested to take boiled water after cooling. Take boiled food. Avoid taking oily, spicy, junk food. Do not take fried food. Take homemade well-cooked, boiled food. Avoid taking raw food. Take digestives and liver tonic. Take 8 hrs of quality sleep.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
